Two day National Conference on “National Conference on Biotechnology Innovation: Interdisciplinary Approach to Agriculture, Food, Health, Environment and Sustainable Development” and the Annual meeting of Society for Biotechnologist (India) SBT (I) was organized by Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Barabanki, Lucknow, UP during September 27 – 28, 2019. Prof. (Dr.) Manju Sharma was honoured with the Padmabhushan Professor M. V. Pylee Lifetime Achievement Award and Prof. (Dr.) Prahlad Seth with the Dr. C. S. Paulose Memorial Oration Award. More than 450 delegates and researcher scholars from various parts of the country and the SBT (I) office bearers attended the conference.
Keynote lectures were delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Manju Sharma and Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Seth. Plenary lectures by fifteen eminent scientists on various disciplines were organised in addition to the oral presentation and poster presentation sessions for young researchers. SBTI oral presentation awards were distributed to Awardees at the valedictory function.
